Meet Katie
SweetBree was founded by Katie Kostopoulos as a creative side hustle during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, Katie and her husband were running a restaurant, pouring their hearts into supporting their staff and covering business expenses. Often, this meant Katie wasn’t able to pay herself. It was a challenging period, but Katie’s resourcefulness led her to start selling clothes online to provide extra income for her family.
The name SweetBree reflects Katie’s love of sweets and her Scottish Gaelic roots. In Gaelic, “Bree” means “to rise above,” which perfectly symbolizes the brand’s journey of resilience, determination, and hope.
What began as a small venture has grown into a contemporary fashion brand that embodies Katie’s belief that style should be both fun and affordable. SweetBree celebrates life’s sweetness and the strength to overcome any obstacle—one stylish outfit at a time.
